The apothecary Melchior, from novels by Indrek Hargla, has found his way into the hearts of numerous readers. In this crime-themed story, written especially for the House of the Blackheads it is the apothecary’s daughter Agathe, who is searching for answers. The show takes place in the midst of the audience, who for this evening embody the citizens of medieval Tallinn.
There is a medieval costume rental at location, after the performance the audience can participate in medieval round dances guided by Julia Christie Amor.
The sharp mind, bravery and kind heart of Agathe, the apothecary’s daughter, save the life of the courier Caspar and the Blackheads’ relic. An unconscious and wounded Caspar is brought to the pharmacy, for him to improve enough to be tried in court and executed. But Agathe realizes that Caspar has fallen victim to a conspiracy of some kind and attempts to help him. By this she also rescues the Blackheads’ relic and the honour of the brotherhood.
