This concert celebrates the 30th birthday of the Female Choir of Estonian Choral Conductors. Our choir unites both long-time and beginner choral conductors and music teachers from all over Estonia, and our singers work with 32 choirs and teach children in 22 organizations.
Throughout its history the choir has been aiming to promote the best of Estonian female choirs music, to commission and to record Estonian music, to be familiar with new choral music in the world, to present Estonian music for female choirs outside Estonia and to participate in national song celebrations and in international competitions and festivals. Further training for the singers is also an important part of the choir´s activities.
Today´s programme features songs from the choir´s repertoire over the last few years, and includes several pieces from last year´s co-operation with the Latvian conductor Aira Birziņa.
The choir ranked 3rd in category A at the 2018 national contest for female and girls´ choirs that was organized by the Estonian Association of Female Choirs.
Andrus Siimon is the choir´s Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, and Eha Pärg is the choir´s voice coach.
