SOFIRA RUBINA QUINTET

Performing at the Shanghai Jazz Festival with Estonian Dream Big Band, Sofia Rubina managed to surprise even the world-famous singer Dee Dee Bridgewater with her wild energy and musicality. The Boston, Berklee College of Music-educated singer is one of the few Estonian artists who have performed at the famous New York Blue Note jazz club. Recently Sofia Rubina issued a very respectable jazz album “In The Land of Oo-Bla-Dee”, which forms the basis of the concert programme.

Sofia Rubina: “Improvisation is an important part of my show. I would like to be very playful on stage and always surprise the audience.”

Taff Club combines two fields of art – jazz and literature, which find a common home in the cellar hall. The club’s primary style is mainstream jazz. Additionally, there are theme evenings for different styles. Each evening combines both literature and music. The president of the club is Raivo Tafenau.
