Rello is a group of men and women, who like to sing.
The choir started in 1994 with some young families, now they are a bit older but singing is still the best hobby. Choirs hometown is Märjamaa, but some of the members live outside the town also.
Repertoire is different - from basics of choirmusic until rock- and jazzmusic arrangements. In every concert there are some songs, what has been arranged for this choir only by their conductor.
Rello has taken part in every song festival since 1994. Also lot of competitions and concerts as in Estonia and also abroad.
Conductor is Thea Paluoja.
The Welsh Association Male Voice Choir is representing The Welsh Association of Male Choirs which was established in 1962 when 26 choirs formed an association to collectively address the needs of Male Choirs. Since that beginning the Association has increased its membership tremendously, and experience has made it a much more professional body. Today, the South Wales Branch of the Association has approximately 85 member choirs with 18 associate members in England and 7 members outside the United Kingdom in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Germany and Ireland.
The Associations works under patronage of H.R.H. Prince Charles The Prince of Wales
The Association has promoted many competitions for male choirs and it has also liaised with promoters of eisteddfodau and other music festivals to this end. The Association arranges massed male voice singing festivals and many of these have been held at the Royal Albert Hall, London; St. David's Hall, Cardiff and also Bristol, Swansea and Bournemouth. Many national charities have benefited by concerts arranged on their behalf.
When Welsh Male Voice Choirs are gathered together to form a large choir it is a musical extravaganza of the highest standard, achieved under the direction of the Conductor, Dr Alwyn Humphreys ensuring a powerful musical presentation for you to listen to, the very best of our rich Welsh singing traditions
